The main idea that Metaltis preaches
Ensure the delivery of any cargo at the highest level and offer solutions for compact, ergonomic, small-sized transportation. And also cover any area of human life where fastenings for various purposes can be installed.
Since 2013, Metaltis has been the base for everything from cargo carriers to dog leashes.
The customer needed a well-functioning website with seamless operation, where Metaltis could sell its products directly in bulk to companies of different sizes and areas of activity. Since various types of companies had to be served in different ways, our task was to automate these processes on the website and implement special wholesale purchasing scenarios for different typical companies.

Team
Metaltis sells fasteners to both logistics companies involved in the transportation of large and small cargo, as well as to manufacturers of construction equipment, sewing companies producing bags, clothing, and animal harnesses. This enormous number of application areas leads clients to Metaltis from completely different business areas, which in turn complicates the sales process, since each type of client requires a different sales script. That's why our team created tools that allow Metaltis to generate proposals for commercial clients directly from the website's administrative panel. For small and medium-sized businesses, we have developed functionality to easily place orders in a few clicks. Particular attention was paid to the development of B2B and B2C checkout in order to correctly take into account the tax rates of different European countries where Metaltis operates.

The client's website counts about 8,000 pages with several thousand products. It is very crucial for such a website not to freeze during the peak sales days and continue to function. For large online stores, this is a common problem - maintaining the functionality of the website on Black Fridays, Cyber Mondays and other promotional days, when a huge number of purchasers come to the website and simultaneously do some actions there. At this point, the system may not withstand such a flow and break down, and the online store will lose its customers and potential revenue in the midst of sales. We prevented this problem in advance and deployed a server infrastructure in the Amazon Web Services and Kubernetes cloud. This ensures reliability of the system.
But we moved on further! And we developed our own unique monitoring and alert system. Thanks to multiple codes in the cluster, even if one of them fails, the website continues to work, and updating the website code takes only 10 seconds. Setting up a monitoring system allows monitoring possible problems in real time and responding to them in a timely manner.

Metaltis is a multilingual website with 6 language versions, where each language version is essentially a whole website with a catalog of products. Therefore, we implemented a structure and a language switcher. Added to this, if there are several language versions of the website, they all appear in search results on the Internet. We configured Hreflang tags to ensure that only the necessary language version is shown in the search for each geographic region.

Timely loading of a website page is very important for convenient use by visitors and the safety of business clients. According to statistics, the user makes a decision in the first 3 seconds of loading the page; if it has not loaded during this time, then the user closes the page and the website receives a high Bounce Rate, and the business loses a potential buyer.
We optimized the website's images and made them lighter without losing quality, removed and optimized caching of web pages and content, and managed to increase its loading speed according to Google Speed from 20 on the mobile version and 40 on the desktop version to 70 and 97, respectively, achieving page loading in 3 seconds.

We have implemented functionality that allows Metaltis clients to customize fasteners and add individual inscriptions to them. This opens up new opportunities for customers and adds uniqueness to Metaltis products. Customers can see in real-time what their order will look like by changing colors and text size. This feature provides flexibility and a personalized approach to each order, which increases customer satisfaction and increases sales.
